It's time for something new and exciting from OnePlus. Say hello to OnePlus Nord!
I have been working with the OnePlus Nord team for a couple of months now, and it's been really fun, intense, and inspiring! It's a project that made me reminisce of my nordic roots of Sweden like many others in the team working with Nord.
Having a tight schedule and communicating remotely with the team from various parts of the world was a fun and challenging task. I found myself in Spain during a time of uncertainty, forcing myself to work from a small desk inside a tiny apartment. It worked surprisingly well, and I'm super happy with the result!
The wallpapers I created for Nord are inspired by the North, where I am from. I remember the cold winter mornings, snowfalls, fresh air, and the people that inspired me to become who I am today. We wanted to recreate the nordic feeling in a way where it's not projected too obvious with photography, but with the OnePlus art style. The cold glacial, ocean and rocky materials are not aerial photography, but from many acrylic and oil paint experiments done by me and my father many years back combined with new 3D skills I have acquired during the years of working with OnePlus. The artworks are rendered with Eevee, using Blender, edited and compiled in After Effects, and Photoshop.
